Yesterday I decided to attempt trimming Peyton's nails for the first time. I thought she was pretty asleep so thought it would be a good time to give it a try. One hand down - I started to feel some confidence...one more and then OOPS I clipped some skin. Right when it happened I'm not sure who was crying more, me or Peyton! Thank goodness she won't be scarred for life or anything and won't remember it even happened but I felt HORRIBLE! Luckily, Chad, my Mom and my friend Tara all reassured me that it happens to almost everyone - all of those little ones have survived and so shall Peyton! What an adventure though - one of many I am sure.
Things are still going great and Peyton seems to be growing at lightening speeds. Some of her Newborn clothes are starting to get a little short on her - I can't wait to go to the Dr. this Thursday to see how much she has grown in the first two weeks. I am already starting to feel the "they grow up too fast" feeling that I have heard so many talk about over the last several years - it really is true! We are just very thankful that she is happy, healthy and growing strong!!
I promise to take some new pictures in the next couple of days to post out here but wanted to write about our adventure yesterday!

I did the same thing to Drew when he was about that age. And it bled like I had cut his finger off. Robby still makes fun of me for how upset I was, but I thought I had scarred him for life! The moral of my story: we all do it!
