Really? It can't be! Yep - Peyton is 18 months old!!!

Wow - Peyton is growing up WAY too fast! Last week Peyton turned 18 months old, my how time flies. Yesterday we had Peyton's 18 month check-up and the Dr thought she was doing great! Peyton weighed in at 23 lbs 4 oz (40%), measured 32 1/2" (75% - crazy!!!) and her head circumference was in the 20th percentile.

Some of Peyton's favorites at 18 months include -
food - really, just about everything but blueberries probably still top the list
books - a new favorite seems to be "I'll Love You Forever" which almost always makes Mommy cry when we read it
playing - anything outside! Over the last week we have played with just about all of the neighbor kids and anytime Peyton sees some of her friends outside she points until we go and play - it is so fun to see her making friends!!
words - Dada & Momma definitely top the list but more and more are coming out these days and the babbling has definitely picked-up
song - The Hot Dog Dance from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse always gets her dancing but she has been known to dance in her car seat to all kinds of '90s music - hilarious!

Here is the newest Pooh pic - note her pony tail - she actually let ME fix it tonight (which rarely happens):

Although this little girl is ALWAYS on the go the last few nights she has wanted lots of cuddle time and book time with Mommy before bed, which I LOVE! And every morning she now wants to get out of bed and run into Mommy & Daddy's room to tell Daddy good mornng - this little girl is smitten with her Daddy! Needless to say, we can't get enough of her!!! :)

Long Weekend

Last weekend we had a super fun long weekend! Thursday night at about Peyton's bedtime we headed down to the Lake of the Ozarks. After a quick stop in Clinton to drop Apollo off we arrived at Uncle Mark and Aunt Mary's condo - Peyton fell right back asleep and was ready to party the next morning! Daddy was Mr. Fix-it around the condo on Friday morning and enjoyed a round of golf with Grandpa Arthur in the afternoon. Peyton, Grammy & Mommy hung-out around the condo all day, including a LONG walk up a HUGE hill to the play set! Peyton loved it so it was all worth it but man, that was a work-out. Then on Saturday Mommy, Daddy & Peyton hit the outlet mall. Peyton was a FABULOUS shopper. We found several new fun things and enjoyed the beautiful day walking around the mall. And what better way to cap-off a shopping trip than a trip to Andy's! Yum!!! Saturday night we visited with Grammy & Grandpa before heading back to Olathe Sunday morning. Whew, what a weekend!!

Happy Mother's Day!!

And what a wonderful Mother's Day it was!!! On Thursday night Grammy & Grandpa were up in Olathe and got to see Peyton on her new play set! Daddy had even just finished-up the top level of her tower and she LOVED climbing all the way to the top. Of course, getting down was a little more difficult but luckily Grandpa climbed up to rescue her. Since then, Peyton has become quite a pro at climbing up and down from the "penthouse".

Whee!!!!

And this the reason I am lucky enough to celebrate Mother's Day - what a beautiful daughter I have!

On Saturday we headed to Lexington to wish Grandma, Nana and Aunt April a Happy Mother's Day! Then on Saturday night we headed to Clinton for our Mother's Day visit with Grammy, Granny and Great Aunt Mary. It was a busy weekend but we had so much fun spending the weekend with family - and loved showing off, as always! Here are a few pictures from the weekend -

Let's Go PLAY!!!!

Wow! I have a bit of catching-up to do here. Two weekends ago our friends Kip & Marla came back into town to wrap-up a few things with the sale of their house so we enjoyed a nice dinner out on Friday night and a tasty breakfast the next morning. The Mayberry’s even got to test-out the new daybed and trundle, weren’t they lucky! ;) After they headed out we ran a few errands, looked at some play sets for Peyton and wrapped-up with a trip to The Grass Pad where we picked out our flowers for the year. Peyton LOVED walking around looking at all of the flowers and was a great little shopper! On Sunday while Daddy played in a golf tournament Peyton & I even got all 5 of our flower pots planted. She had a great time playing in the dirt but was more interested in taking dirt out of the pot than anything else!

Then this last Friday Peyton’s play set started going up – yay!!! With lots of help from everyone, Peyton now has a play set and she LOVES it! A huge thanks to Grammy & Grandpa Arthur, Grandma & Grandpa Todd, Uncle Landen and of course DADDY!!! Peyton loved playing on her play set while it was being constructed but did get a little frustrated with Daddy & Grandpa Todd when they kept moving her slide around while they were trying to get it attached – she even once went over to it when it was on the ground and tried to pick it up while signing “help” – a slide is NOT meant to go on the ground! ;)

And on Sunday, Grammy, Peyton & I attended a baby shower for one of my friends that I grew-up with – her baby came really early (born at 1 lb 13 oz) but is now doing great! It was so fun to see several girls I haven’t probably seen in about 10 years – crazy how fast time flies! I even got to join Daddy & Grandpa for a few holes of golf after the shower while Peyton & Grammy played – what a fun day!

Peyton continues to amaze us each and every day!

Peyton looking at our beautiful flowers (well, she was trying to pick them but luckily Mommy took the picture pretty quickly and only a couple of petals were plucked)

A slide doesn't have to be attached, I can still use it!

Does this girl look excited??? I would say YES!!!

What do I use this tool for Daddy??

Patience is not my middle name -

You can't get me Grandpa, I'm too quick!

Let's go play Grandma!

Do you really think I look like that other baby Grandpa??

Clothes - who needs clothes??

All dolled-up for the baby shower! Peyton was quite a hit and of course Grammy & I were proud to show her off! :)
