Peyton's 2 Week Appointment

My, my, my how Peyton has grown!!!  The pediatrician's office said that the goal was for Peyton to be back to her birth weight by our appointment today.  Peyton weighed-in today at 7 lbs. 7 oz.!!!  That's just 3 ounces short of being a full pound over her birth weight!  We were so excited to hear that she is doing well and growing strong.  The nurse practitioner that we saw today made a comment when she was checking her over that Peyton was very strong and overall looked great.  Because she has grown so well they said that we can now start letting her go as long as she wants at night without waking her up to eat and to only wake her up every 3 hours during the day.  Although I have been VERY lucky until this point with the amount of sleep I have been getting, this may mean even more sleep for me at night! :)

Peyton was very hungry though by the time we got home from our appointment this morning.  I think she must have ate a little too fast because after about 15 minutes she managed to spit-up, really only for the second or third time (have I mentioned how lucky we have been!) all over herself and me!  It didn't take long and we were both cleaned-up and she was able to finish eating but at the moment we were quite a site to see!

And I learned a very important lesson today - when going to the Dr. ease of outfit removal is WAY more important than looking cute!  I picked-out an adorable overall outfit for Peyton to wear today and I must say she looked great! but it was a little more than challenging for Chad to get her out of and back into since she had to be stripped down to get weighed.  OOPS!  One of many lessons I'm sure we will be learning as we go!
