Cradle Cap & Daycare Updates

I'm not sure who else has had to fight cradle cap before but it is no fun! I mean, it really isn't that bad - it doesn't hurt Peyton at all and doesn't have a lasting impact but it is incredibly difficult to get rid of. Over the weekend it seemed like her cradle cap was getting worse and by Tuesday I knew I really need to work on it quite a bit. I hate working to get it out because a little bit of her beautiful hair always comes out when I am scrubbing on her head. When I was getting ready to give her a bath on Tuesday I remembered that Grammy had given me some cradle cap care lotion that I was hoping I wouldn't need but thought I would give it a try. Basically you just massage this lotion in, let it sit and then scrub for a while before shampooing it out. I got about 1/2 of it out on Tuesday and then worked on the other half last night. I'm proud to say that Peyton is now 100% cradle cap free - hopefully she stays that way!

Peyton also continues to do well at daycare. Yesterday when I called they told me that they swaddled her before putting her down for a nap. This sounded CRAZY to me because she has never liked being swaddled! I guess that is pretty common that babies at daycare like to be swaddled there but not as much at home since it gives them more of a security feeling. It must have worked because she took a 3 hour nap in the morning - she never sleeps that much! I must admit that I was a little worried since she doesn't usually nap that much that she wouldn't sleep last night but sure enough, she went down at her normal time of 8:00 and woke-up on her own this morning at 6:15. Guess she was a tired girl yesterday! Peyton always seems happy when we drop her off and has been all smiles every day that we have picked her up so she must be thriving. She is even eating a little better at daycare. She still doesn't take-in a ton while there but is getting better about eating more at each time she is fed so that is good.

Otherwise, everything has been pretty quiet, we're just all getting into our new routine. So far it has been working very well!!!
