We had a GREAT 4th of July weekend. After work on Thursday night we got all packed up and headed down to Clinton for the weekend. Friday morning Daddy & Grandpa played golf while Peyton, Mommy & Grammy hung-out. Unfortunately earlier in the week Great Grandpa Mintun had what we believe was a mild stroke and was hospital bound so we made a couple of visits out to the hospital to cheer-up Great Grandpa and entertain Great Grandma for a while. Peyton also charmed her Great Uncle Mark and Great Aunt Mary a few times over the weekend. What can I say, she's a cutie and quite a performer these days, but I'll get to that! We spent some time up on the Clinton square at Olde Glory Days on Friday and Saturday, including the big parade on Saturday morning. Peyton was so excited that she decided to skip her nap on Saturday morning. She did a great job through about the first 30 minutes of the parade and only got a little scared with the first set of sirens but after that Grammy took her inside a near-by building and she went right to sleep - she was a tired girl! She loved the music and fun things in the parade and really took it all in. Peyton also enjoyed being up on the square in the evenings when the carnival rides were going on - how can you beat flashing lights, moving objects and music all at the same time!
On Sunday we ended-up with a flat tire - bummer! Luckily no one was hurt and it happened while we were still in Clinton and not going 70 mph down the highway. Since Peyton's ride was in the shop and she had had a big weekend Daddy stayed home from church with her while I headed to church with my parents. I had a great time playing a piano-organ duet with Grammy! After church we had a delicious lunch and hit the road after a great weekend! Here are a few pics from the weekend...

Great, fun pictures - she should be a baby model with the way she sees a camera and is immediately "on"! She certainly brightened Great Grandpa's hospital room with her visits. We loved having all of you visit for the weekend - all the Clintonians were thrilled to get to see Peyton around the Olde Glory Day events/parade, etc. Grammy and Grandpa sure had a great 4th of July weekend with the Todds visiting. Thanks for coming.
