This week was a BUSY one - lots of activities and lots of pictures!
1. On Tuesday, Peyton had a dance watch week. Close to time to go, she started to get nervous and decided she only wanted me to go but she did great! Especially given she has only been dancing for 2 months! She knew her steps and powered through, even though she was nervous. We were very proud of her!
2. On Thursday, Daddy & I got to join Peyton for Thanksgiving lunch at her school! She didn't want to take a pic with all of us but did want a picture of herself - ha! After lunch, we took her back to her classroom and she showed off some of her artwork - fun! I must admit, the class was a bit crazy but somehow (maybe a lookout!) they knew when Mrs. Sims was coming and they immediately went to their desks and were quiet. Mrs. Sims has the power!
3. On Thursday night, Peyton had her school program and we were lucky enough for Grammy & Grandpa and Grandma & Grandpa Todd to join us for her performance. Peyton had a speaking part and did really well. As you can see below, she sang her heart out! Such a big girl!!
4. Friday brought a special day, Peyton's 7th birthday!!! Peyton was super excited open her presents which included her very own VivoFit and a movie from Garrison, Descendants! We wrapped-up the morning with a donut cake! Peyton took Krispy Kreme's to school to celebrate with her class and got to spin around in the teacher chair 7 times + 1 for good luck! All in all, I think she had a good day!
5. Garrison had some fun on Friday too - his annual Thanksgiving lunch - Save a Turkey, Eat Spaghetti! Daddy & I both were able to join him for his lunch and were surprised that his class had learned two songs to perform for us too! The best was "On Top of Spaghetti" - so cute!! The first picture below is Garrison with Ms. Beth, his favorite teacher!!
6. Friday night, Peyton got to pick our choice for dinner and man she made a great choice - Cheesecake Factory! The kids had fun with dinner and we topped it off with a slice of Salted Carmel Cheesecake!
7. Since we had a (fairly) quiet weekend, we decorated for Christmas! Garrison was more into the fun this year and hung a lot of ornaments but Peyton got to put the angel on the tree since Garrison had last year. We had a great time together getting the house ready for Christmas! The kids both wanted to put nativities in their rooms this year!
8. We were greeters at church on Sunday and we also got to take up the gifts during mass. While we were sitting there during mass, Garrison looked up at the crucifix and leaned over to me and asked "who killed Jesus?" I told him Pontius Pilate. Apparently he retained this and told Daddy about it when they had step out for a potty break. He then started looking at other statues and asked me who killed all of them. Good learning opportunities, I guess!
9. Our annual picture time with our stuffed animals was today. Peyton's picture with Pooh at age 7 and Garrison with Mickey at 4.5 (since I have never managed to get his picture with Mickey when he turned 4 - oops!).
10. Peyton had her birthday party today and she had an amazing time with lots of great friends!! Her party was at the community pool and lots of friends came to help her celebrate with pizza, ice cream cake and fun swim time!!
