Well, folks, it was really a quiet week all in all.
1. Saturday was Peyton's first soccer game. Alas, however, we never quite made it to the field. :( Peyton was less than thrilled (understatement of the year) to put on her shin guards and soccer socks so we never made it to the game. Since Grammy & Grandpa Arthur and Grandma Todd had all come up for the game, Garrison & I went to the fields to meet them and visit for a few minutes while Peyton & Daddy stayed at home. It was a knock down drag-out on Saturday but since them we have been practicing wearing our shin guards and socks, hoping for a better experience next week!
2. Peyton continues to do gymnastics and is doing a great job! She is in the Mini-Stars class which is the advanced class for her age range. She is so incredibly strong. She can do a pullover, walk on the high balance beam, do a backbend and is learning to do a kick-over, pull-up and more bar work. It is amazing to see how she has developed even in the last month or so. These little girls are strong!!
3. Even though the pool was supposed to close on Labor Day, the subdivision has kept it open for two extra weeks. We have enjoyed a few extra trips to the pool since it has been SUPER hot outside! Love that the kids enjoy the water so much and how comfortable they are in and around the water.
That's it - no pictures and not many updates. Hopefully we will have more next week!!

I'm glad Peyton is enjoying gymnastics and seems to be doing very well! She loves to demonstrate for us her skills. It is great that they both like the water - Peyton's a regular little fish!
We were happy to get to visit with Garrison and Amanda on Saturday and sad that Peyton was having a rough day - looking forward to a different outcome this coming Saturday.
