1. Peyton & I took a day off on Thursday and had an awesome time visiting the Shatto dairy farm with our friends from church! It was a bit of a drive but the trip was a lot of fun since we went with our friends Megan, Mia & Will! Mia & Peyton were pretty well tied at the hip the entire visit - it was so fun to see these two giggly girls spend the day together! On our tour we got to see how they bottle milk, milk the cows, milk a REAL cow ourselves and see a few calves. Of course, the tour would not be complete without a taste test of all of the milk flavors - my favorite was Apple Pie, Peyton's was Cotton Candy! After our tour, we enjoyed our favorite milk with a lunch we had packed from home and wrapped-up our visit with ice cream -yum! I was so proud of how Peyton tried everything - she put her finger into the milking machine to see how that felt and milked her first real cow - she was quite proud as well!
2. After we got back home, we ran a few errands, stopped for a tasty Sonic drink and then wrapped-up our day with a trip to the pool. Peyton continues to get more and more comfortable in the pool and tried a couple of new things on this visit - diving to the bottom to pick-up a ring and doing summersaults in the water! It was awesome to see her try and master these things! Can't think of a better way to spend a day off work!
3. Daddy was playing in a golf tournament out of town on Saturday so left super early. The kids decided to follow suit and were both up and ready for the day before 7. I figured, since we were up, there wasn't a better way to start a Saturday morning than a trip to the donut shop in our PJs! The kids thought this idea was really cool and it was only made better by our find along the way - a double rainbow! These pics are from my phone but still fun to see! We enjoyed our donuts outside watching it rain!
4. On Saturday, Peyton & I were invited to a baby shower at The Carriage Club down near the Plaza. A very fancy venue so we were excited to dress-up for the event! Peyton, of course, was a little lady at the shower and did an excellent job of using her manners. We won a game (Peyton was thrilled!) and got to bring home our very own bottle of nail polish in the color "It's a Girl!"
5. Grammy & Grandma Mintun came to stay with Garrison while the two of us were at the shower = of course, Garrison was still in his PJs when they arrived and stayed that way until after lunch, but hey - why not! We played for a bit before and after the shower and later that afternoon, the kids went home with Grammy & Grandma. Peyton got to attend two parties on Saturday as the kids joined Grammy & Grandpa at a dinner with some of their friends Saturday evening. From what I hear, they had a great time - it didn't hurt that the host had three train sets on display for them to watch after dinner!
6. When Chad got home, we too loaded up our car and went down to Grammy & Grandpa's since Daddy & Grandpa had a golf tournament bright and early on Sunday morning! Everyone was asleep when we arrived but everyone was ready to go again shortly after 6 AM! While the boys played golf, the girls and Garrison had a great time playing dress-up (check out my baby girl in my tap dancing costume from many years ago!), playing outside with bubbles and snap pops, going on a "nature walk" to find frogs, and other imaginative play. My two favorites were the cards that Grandma & Peyton made for Garrison's birthday that Peyton HAD to mail immediately and Grandma & Peyton "fishing" outside in the front yard (with a stick for the pole and leaves for bait - she caught fish and sharks!). We had a great time visiting and the kids were so exhausted they both slept most of the way home, even Garrison who had already had a nap!

Peyton enjoyed telling me all about milking the cow on your outing - she had a great time spending the day with her Mommy, who she adores. She is doing quite well at swimming!
Grammaw and I had a great time visiting Saturday morning and staying with Garrison while you girls went to your fancy baby shower - he slept a good part of the time, but we had some one-on-one time with him too which was nice.
It was wonderful getting to take them to our supper club - Peyton enjoyed doing art work at their Little Tykes table, and Garrison had a good time with racing cars! The trains were a hit - it is a train "room", complete with movable parts - the carnival and the parade were a hit.
Sunday was fun for all - Ron and Chad won 3rd place in C Flight of the American Cancer Society Annual Golf Tournament. The rest of us had an awesome day as Amanda described. Fishing in a princess dress has to be a Peytonism! She is a hoot. Garrison liked the bubbles and pop-its the best.
Fun family memories - priceless.
