Weekly Happenings - 3/4 - 3/10

1.  Oops - forgot to post Garrison's 18 month stats.  At 18 months, Garrison weighed 25 lbs (70%) and was 32.5" tall (70%).  Not sure on the measurement but his head circumference was in the 90%!  Our big guy now gets to switch to drinking 1% milk - YAY for only having to buy one kind of milk each week!

2.  We received a package this week and it included some bubble wrap.  As you can see, this was a big hit with the kids!

3.  On Saturday morning we went to the zoo to renew our membership and for a short visit.  This was the first time Garrison was really able to interact with the animals and he was all about checking everything out!  He made lots of ooh and ahh faces with Nikita and wanted to walk pretty much everywhere!  Peyton was super excited to ride the carousel and thought it was pretty cool that Garrison got to join her this time around!  Peyton's favorite was measuring her hands against Nikita's paw and the monkey's hands/feet!  A very fun visit - can't wait to go back again!!

4.  On Sunday after church, Peyton & I stopped at Target to pick-up a few things, including this nice accent table Peyton now uses as her perch in the hearth room!  She looks so cute sitting up there and if we try to use it as a table she moves it back to her spot in the middle of the room!

And what's better than an empty box!  The kids had a great time playing "jack-in-the-box" and coloring all over.

5.  On Sunday afternoon, Grandma & Grandpa Todd came up for a visit and to go out to eat for Grandma's birthday!  As you can see, Garrison was still in is PJs but did manage to get dressed for dinner!  Peyton was excited to show grandma & grandpa her picture from the Daddy/Daughter dance!  After enjoying a fun jello jiggler that they brought up and some fun play time, we enjoyed a tasty dinner at Will Jenny's.

6.  Mr. Garrison really doesn't have much of a chance - Peyton has quite an influence on his play.  On Sunday, they were playing babies and taking turns feeding each of their babies a bottle.  Then, Garrison (and Peyton) had quite the conversation with Grammy & Grandpa.  He's getting quite good at answering "yes" and "no" questions!

Peyton on the perch - quite comical. Bubble wrap and the box - the best toys ever! And free!

We had quite the telephone conversation with Garrison - of course he hung up on me several times (by accident, I'm sure - ha ha), and then wanted to call back and talk to Papa. How sweet. Peyton is great at talking on the phone these days. She told me about the trip to the zoo and the polar bears and about feeding her babies with Mommy being the babysitter. She has quite the imagination these days - great play for her.
Great pictures and family memories.
