1. Well, this week brought another big snow storm - this one only brought ~6 inches but on top of the 13+ we already had, it was a lot of snow! And this one was a wet snow - it was beautiful hanging on the trees, especially since we didn't have any limbs break off and never lost power like others did in this storm! For this snow day, Daddy put together Garrison's basketball goal that he got for Christmas - it was a big hit!, we played in shaving cream, Peyton & Daddy made a snowman that Mommy & Peyton decorated, Peyton had fun sliding down the huge bank of snow that was on the side of the driveway and we attempted to make goo - epic fail to say the least! All in all we had a great day, though we were all thankful to return to our normal routine on Wednesday!
2. Friday night brought a big "first" for Peyton - her first Daddy Daughter Dance. It would be a complete understatement to say she was excited - she had been asking about it for weeks, ever since we bought her dress! After a quick dinner, it was time to get ready! We curled her hair and got her dressed before Daddy gave her a beautiful corsage! Garrison even had to get in on the fun of the picture taking - he really wanted to get into all of the pictures! After our mini photo shoot, they were off! Peyton had a great time dancing with Daddy and all of her friends too! I love the picture of her in the middle of the dance floor with her dress spinning - so cute! I'm guessing this may be a start to a new tradition!!
3. On Saturday morning, we loaded up the car to go and visit Grammy, Grandpa & Grandma Mintun! Daddy stayed at home to get a few projects done but the rest of us had a great time visiting! We did some cooking - peanut butter bananas dipped in chocolate, guacamole and rice krispy birds nests, had a dance party and jumping party, played a little Super Mario Bros (wow, that was a blast from the past!) and of course made some fun art! After lunch on Sunday we came home, much to Peyton's disappointment - she assured me she wanted to stay for 7 weeks!
4. Then later on Sunday afternoon we had a double play date! The girls were in their element playing with princesses and all things girly - the boys both were working on their sharing skills but in the end did great sharing a few of the favorite toys - the pink ball popper and dump trucks! We were so glad to have Mia & Will visit!!

What a week! So much fun packed into a few days - great memories. Peyton was so excited to tell us all about the dance - looks like they all had a great time - beautiful dress and fantastic smiles on both Daddy and Peyton's faces.
The snowman is huge! I'm sure it was fun making it. Good job!
We enjoyed Amanda, Peyton, Garrison and Apollo visiting this past weekend - we had so much fun with our cooking projects, dance party and art time, along with just good old fashioned play time. Garrison seems to think he can jump off things like big Sissy but just ends up falling - but gets up laughing, so all is good I guess. Peyton loves brushing his teeth for him, and he just stands there and lets her! She is a good big sister. We enjoyed the visit so much and hope you come back soon! Treasured family memories!
