1. This week Peyton had a first - her first field trip! Her class at school is learning all about plants so we loaded up three vans and headed to a local nursery. I was lucky enough to get to join-in on the adventure! We had a great time touring the nursery, having some popcorn, learning about plants and even potting a few plants. It was a big morning for all of the kids but they had a great time (and so did I!)
2. Garrison turns 10 months old tomorrow - wow, we almost have a 1 year old again!
3. We had a VERY busy Memorial Day weekend that started bright and early on Saturday morning with a trip to the zoo! We took our time this visit and only visited Africa which was great, we didn't feel as rushed and it was so hot we were ready to head home after lunch! Plus we were excited to meet-up with our neighbors for our trip around Africa. Peyton had a blast exploring with her friends! I love the first picture below - Daddy & Peyton are so focused on watching the howler monkey fly through the exhibit, Garrison is focused on smiling at the camera! :)
4. After a little rest (and time to cool off) we headed back out on Saturday afternoon and visited the park near our subdivision. Garrison even joined in on the fun a bit while Peyton climbed until her heart was content!
5. We started our Sunday pretty early again with breakfast out - Garrison got to start eating yogurt this weekend and he is a big fan! He enjoyed yogurt, pancake and even some eggs. Peyton ate a tasty chocolate chip pancake but was quite adamant that she did not want any eggs like Garrison! After breakfast we headed to the Arboretum to check it out - what an awesome place to visit! We walked the trails for almost 2 hours, fed some huge coy & catfish and climbed some rocks. Peyton saw several frogs and even two large snakes slithering around a stream! The gardens were beautiful and even though we ran into people along the way it was very quiet and a fun way to spend the morning!
6. Sunday afternoon, Aunt April, Wyatt & Whitney came by to visit. We made a trip up to the mall while they were here. Peyton & Whitney were practically inseparable and Wyatt takes such good care of both of them making sure they stayed close to everyone. We had a great visit! After dinner we enjoyed some more outside time with our neighbors and Garrison tried-out the Cozy Coupe while Peyton ran through the sprinklers. I tried my best to get a picture of her with the sprinklers but she was too fast!
7. Monday was a bit quieter for us which was a great way to wrap-up the weekend. Daddy played golf in the morning while the kids & I relaxed at home, took a walk and played outside. After lunch and rest time we made our first trip of the year to the pool (and Garrison's first trip to an outside pool!). Peyton is definitely in her element in the water now and loved jumping in and swimming around. Garrison was having a bit of a rough day (I think he was just exhausted after a super busy weekend) so wasn't thrilled about the pool but after a bit of splashing he decided it was pretty fun after all!
8. Milestone - Garrison has started waving. The first time he truly waved was when Peyton & I rode the Skyfari at the zoo - it was so fun to see him waving to us as we took off!

My oh my - what a wonderful family memory making weekend! It all sounds like fun! Pictures are awesome - happy kids - happy parents. Priceless.
