Weekly Happenings - 8/21 - 8/28

1.  Only a month late - Garrison's pic with Mickey - a bit different than the first pic we took 5 years ago!!!

2.  Two of Garrison's friends, Kylie & Makenzie, had a juice and snack stand on Saturday morning.  Of course, he was a gentleman and wanted to support them so we walked to their booth and made a purchase for himself & Peyton, too!

3.  Garrison had his first soccer match of the season and wow was it a great one!  First off, he had a great cheering section of Mommy, Daddy, Peyton, Grammy & Grandpa and Grandma & Grandpa Todd.  Then, he knew several of his teammates from his t-ball team and his previous soccer team.  Then, the best part - GARRISON SCORED 5 GOALS!!!!  Garrison didn't score a goal in his last two seasons, missing dozens of opportunities by an inch or two.  But on this day, everything clicked.  Garrison was on top of his game - making great stops, turning the ball and scoring goals!  It was great to watch him play!!

4.  On Saturday night, Chad & I had a fun night out at Moon Shine on the Farm at Deanna Rose, their annual fundraiser!  This year we were joined by Brian & Angie Heckman and Justin & Lauren Scholtes.  After the event, we stayed out entirely way too late but we had a great time on a beautiful evening!!

5.  Grammy & Grandpa stayed overnight since they watched the kids while we were at our event.  They had a great time at Burger King, a fan favorite, for dinner and game time at home before bed.  On Sunday morning, Grammy, Grandpa & Garrison took a trip to HyVee for a little shopping before we all went to Blue Moose for a yummy brunch to celebrate Grandpa's birthday!  Brunch was delicious and a great treat to celebrate!!

6.  Sunday evening Peyton had a birthday party for her friend Evan and Garrison got to go too since his best friend Zach is Evan's brother!  The party was at Urban Air and they had a blast!!

There was a lot of fun and many great events packed into this post - so blessed that we were able to be involved with many of them! So funny that Gentleman Garrison went to purchase treats from his friends in his pi's - ha ha. Love the pic with Mickey - Garrison has outgrown him!!!! Wonderful family memories - we are ALL blessed beyond words.
