1. This big man had his 5-year old check-up on Thursday and he did great!! Not only did he follow all of the directions the Dr. and nurse gave him without any help, he didn't cry or get upset at all with his two booster shots!! Not a single tear! He weighed-in at 38 lbs and is 42" tall, growing so very fast! Since he did SO well, we grabbed ice cream as a treat afterwards!
2. Peyton's Brownie troop had their first meeting on Thursday night. The girls are crazy at times but are a great group and they have so much fun together! Here they are finishing their meeting by playing "down by the banks" which I remember playing as a kid - so fun!
3. The kids have found a new love for Twister! They are pretty good and even get Mommy & Daddy to play too!
4. On Saturday morning, Peyton started a new adventure! Peyton is going to be part of the TiniTainers dance troupe at her dance studio! She will learn jazz, tap and vocal numbers to perform at various places around the city. We are super proud of her for new opportunity!! While Peyton was dancing, Garrison & I went to McDonald's for breakfast with several of the other parents & siblings. Garrison got to eat at a high-top table with two older boys and thought he was hot stuff! It was fun to meet several of the parents that I'm sure we will get to know better over this year!
5. Chad stayed busy over the weekend with a two-day golf tournament! He had an incredible round on Saturday where he took the lead for his flight but unfortunately ended up taking 2nd by 1 stroke! It was beautiful weather and he had a great time!
6. Later on Saturday, Grammy & Grandpa came up for a visit!! Grammy had picked-up a selfie stick to try and Peyton was very happy to help her figure out how to use it! Shortly after they arrived we packed up and went to Pizza Street for a yummy lunch! The kids love going here but we don't go often so it was quite a treat! We then stopped off at Kohl's, dropped the boys off for some quiet time while the girls shopped a bit more! We had a great visit!
7. On Sunday, while Daddy was playing golf, the kids & I took a trip to the zoo with our friends, Angie, Hailey & Ethan! We had a great time seeing the animals, riding the Skyfari and exploring the zoo! Peyton's highlight was riding the Skyfari with Hailey without an adult with them!! My highlight was seeing the koalas that are visiting our zoo - very cool! We had a surprise when we were about to head out we ran into Elsa & Olaf!
8. On Sunday evening we went over to our friends house, the Sizemore's, to have dinner with their family and the Jones family. The kids all play so well together and we had a great evening with our neighbors! This picture makes me smile as it shows Garrison being the charming little man that he is - he loves the ladies!!
9. A bit out of order but a fun story none the less. When I take Peyton to school she likes to pick a song to listen to. She always picks Roar by Katie Perry and one day this week we cranked up the radio and both sang at the top of our lungs. A moment I hope to always remember!
