1. Girl Scout Camp continued on Monday & Tuesday and I was lucky enough to get to join in the fun both days!! Monday the girls got to build marshmallow structures (due to rain and thunder), climb a rock wall and play Olympic games! Tuesday we had a visit from the Mobile Zoo, there were s'mores and campfire songs and almost 2 hours at the pool!! It was such an amazing couple of days and I think all of the girls are ready to go back already!!
Here's Peyton with Claire & Isabella on the bus -
We have carried ponchos on many vacations and never used them but Peyton & I were glad to have them at camp on Monday since the activities continued as long as there wasn't thunder!
This is our group after we finished the "advanced" hike for Brownies. Our girls did great, were brave when slipping on mud & rocks and were excited to earn a Hiking badge!!
Peyton's BFF Victoria was also at camp with her troop - these two caught-up whenever they could!
Of course, the moms had to join in the s'mores fun too!
2. Peyton didn't have camp this week since she was at Girl Scout Camp early in the week so she got to spend Wednesday & Thursday with Grammy! The girls had lots of fun shopping (though Peyton insisted she didn't need anything!), getting pedicures and playing lots of games. I think the two days went by faster for both of them than they thought they would! Garrison was also excited that he got to be picked-up early both days to spend a little extra time with Grammy too!
3. Thursday night was "watch week" for Peyton's tumbling class from the summer so Daddy, Garrison & I were there to see what all she had learned. Peyton did a great job and has learned one-handed cartwheels and is now able to stand-up from a backbend/bridge. She is also getting much stronger with her handstands and several other skills - she amazes me with her abilities!!
4. On Friday, Daddy spent the day with Peyton and they had a great day! The day ended even better for Peyton when she got to have 6 of her friends over for a "back to school" sleepover! What started as a couple of friends turned into many but the girls were great and we all had lots of fun! The evening started with a trip to the pool where we also had pizza and fruit for dinner. Then when we got home and changed into PJs, the girls decorated ice cream cone cupcakes Peyton & Grammy made earlier in the week and had them for their snack. We wrapped up with watching Home in Peyton's room before it was lights out. All the girls were asleep by 10:30 - I will take it!! On Saturday morning everyone enjoyed some yummy donuts before it was time to go home.
5. Later on Saturday, we went to the Web.com tour event that was in town and we were lucky enough to get passes to the corporate tent on hole 17. We took our time walking back to the tent and watched some of the golfers warming up. Peyton & Garrison both got a golf ball and they were super pumped! They also had a great time at the tent and were very well behaved! We walked several holes, Garrison got his head rubbed by one of the golfers walking by him and Peyton got a fist bump, plus they both got another golf ball thrown to them at the tent. Needless to say it was a great day, and the golf was great to watch too!!
6. Lucky for us, we got passes to the tournament again on Sunday!! Chad was playing his own round of golf on Sunday so Grammy & Grandpa joined in the fun! The kids showed Grammy & Grandpa how it all worked and had a great time spending the day at the golf course!

It was a great week - for Grammy too!!!! So happy Mommy was able to go to Girl Scout Camp too - Peyton was thrilled she was there. Such a great experience for both of you. Peyton looks like a pretzel in those backbend pictures - she is quite athletic and does cartwheels EVERYWHERE! We had a wonderful time on that Wednesday and Thursday - always fun to spend time with both the kids. The Web.Com Tour at Lionsgate was a lot of fun too - a great weather day. The kids were having a great time showing us the ropes. We are blessed - many family memories.
