1. Garrison had his 3-year check-up and did so well! He did everything the Dr. asked him to do and checked-out really well! He is 38.5" tall (75%) and weighed-in at 31 lbs (50%). Of course, his favorite part was picking-out his treat at the end of his visit - a bouncy ball!! So very thankful for a no-shot visit - woo hop!!
2. On Friday, Peyton had her Grammy & Peyton day and they had a ball! She insisted she wanted to be picked-up at school but wanted to have breakfast with Grammy so Grammy got there early to start their day. First-up was breakfast at McDonald's followed by some shopping and a trip to the mall. Peyton got to pick-out some special treats at the mall (check-out her giving her bear, Victoria, a bath) but they also rode the carousel and played lots of fun games at the arcade. After an ice cream snack, they left to pick-up Garrison to head back to Grammy & Grandpa's for the weekend!
3. Garrison was excited to see Grammy when they picked him up. Of course, earlier in the day, he asked when his "Grammy & Peyton" day was going to be! Next year, buddy! They however had a great time at Grammy & Grandpa's for the weekend. Friday night they had dinner and played at Great Grandma's house. On Saturday, they started their day with going to a couple of garage sales and of course donuts at the Donut Palace! Then they went to Blossom's Birthday Party - a party at the park with fun games and lunch! Saturday was wrapped-up with play time, dinner and a special trip to DQ for ice cream. Can't be beat! On Sunday before coming home, they went to church where Peyton got to participate in a kindergarten blessing (so proud of her that she asked to go up to the front since she was a kindergartner!) and Peyton helped Grammy play the piano before church started. After a tasty lunch out it was time to head home to see Mom & Dad!
4. While the kids were away, us parents, we did play (and work!). We started with the play part - on Friday night we went to see Guardians of the Galaxy in 3D IMAX - and it was awesome! Saturday, however, started the work part. Chad has been doing a fantastic job of re-doing our 1/2 bath, even when he has run into problems. He made a ton of progress and we started refinishing our woodwork and doors as well. We missed the kids but were able to get a lot done.

We had an awesome Grammy and Peyton day - it just went by too fast! Garrison was thrilled when we arrived at school to pick him up and "talked" most of the way to Clinton.
The weekend was so much fun. Garrison is joining in now on play that Grammaw and Peyton have had going for quite some time - Grammaw is the sister, Peyton is the Mommy and now Garrison is the Daddy. He took his role quite seriously and put "sister" in time out! Too funny.
Peyton was such a good little helper when I played the gathering music at church - she loves doing it, and I love having her up there with me! The congregation enjoys seeing her help too We were so proud of her when she wanted to participate in the blessing of the kindergarteners - what a brave girl.
We can't wait until another visit from our favorite little people! We are blessed. Priceless memories.
