Weekly Happenings - 5/16 - 5/22

1.  On Monday, Daddy had to work late and Peyton's piano lesson was cancelled at the last minute so the kids talked me into going to Culver's for dinner so they could get their faces painted!  Look at these two little puppies!!

2.  On Tuesday, Peyton had her dance picture night and she looked absolutely adorable!!!  I can't wait to see the official pictures!

3.  Also on Tuesday night, was a BUSY night - Garrison had his Spring play for Shining Stars at his school.  The play was "Stone Soup" and Garrison was the butcher.  He said his lines so well and they all had a great time presenting their play!  Shining Stars has been wonderful for Garrison - he has gained confidence and enjoyed theater!

4.  Thursday brought Pre-school& Pre-K Graduation for many of Garrison's friends.  Garrison performed "When I Grow Up" from Matilda with his friends and he sang his heart out!  The 2nd picture is with his girlfriend Hadley, who tells him several times a week that he is going to marry her someday!

5.  Friday brought the end of school for Peyton.  I can't believe how much our little girl has grown over her 1st grade year and she reminds us daily now she is now officially a 2nd grader!!  Peyton reads so well now, is an excellent speller and knows her addition & subtraction facts as well as adding with multiple digits!  So proud of all she has accomplished!!

6.  What better way to celebrate the end of school than a dip in the (heated) pool!  The pool opened a week early since school was out and the kids were dead set on going on opening day.  They didn't swim for long but had a great time!!!

7.  On Friday night, the kids & I went over to our friends' house, the Larges, for a hot dog roast and party!  We had such a great time playing with all of our friends and visiting.  We didn't get home until almost 9!

8.  On Saturday, Grammy & Grandpa came up for Garrison's sport day!  Garrison started with his last soccer match of the season.  He has grown so much this year with his aggressiveness with the ball and playing defense!  It has been so exciting to watch his skills grow!!  After a quick lunch in the car it was time to head to the t-ball field for Garrison's first game!  He was pretty jazzed - he hit the ball well and helped his team block a ball or two.  He also loved playing in the dirt!  It was a crazy busy day but a fun one!!  Grammy's knee was even feeling well enough to join in on the fun!

9.  Chad had a great long weekend up in Wisconsin playing Whistling Straits, Black Wolf Run & Erin Hills - 4 rounds in 4 days!  He played two rounds at Black Wolf Run in a Golf Channel Am Tour tournament but enjoyed all of the amazing courses and what he found out was unseasonably beautiful weather!!  While they were away, they even snuck-in time to go to the movie and see Capitan American Civil War!  Here are just a few of the pictures from his golf trip!
