Weekly Happenings - 5/30 - 6/5

1.  On Monday, one of our friends from work came over to learn how to bake!  Silvia, who is from China and has lived in Japan, has never had an oven before and wanted to learn how to bake.  Lucky for her, we are BIG bakers in our family and the kids had a blast spending the afternoon in the kitchen!!  We made strawberry & coconut bread and Butterfinger chip cookies.  Yummy!!!

2.  We celebrated our 14th anniversary on Wednesday and although it was a bit of a non-traditional way to celebrate, we ordered pizza and spent a family night at the pool, and it was fabulous!!  The last 14 years have gone by so incredibly fast but I can't imagine living our crazy life with anyone else!

3.  We continued our time at the pool on Friday with dinner and swimming for the evening.  Perfect cap to the week!

4.  Peyton got to have an impromptu sleepover with her BFF Victoria on Friday night.  They had an awesome time swimming and having ice cream before bed!

5.  On Saturday we spent some time picking up around the house and Peyton asked if she could organize Garrison's books.  This project started by taking all of the books off his shelf to start over completely!

6.  Also on Saturday, Chad & I worked on cleaning out the garage while the kids had a great time playing outside!  Peyton wasn't feeling the best so she stuck with bubbles but Garrison drug the sprinkler out and had an absolute ball!!  He is a boy of summer for sure!

7.  Garrison had his 2nd t-ball game on Saturday afternoon and Chad got to coach this time as he was out of town for the 1st game.  Garrison was super pumped to have his Daddy lead the team and Chad did a great job keeping the boys in line and focused on the game!  Since Peyton wasn't feeling hot and it was warm, she stayed home with Grammy and chilled out while Grandpa Arthur, and Grandma & Grandpa Todd joined us at the game.  I brought my "big girl" camera and got a couple of great shots of Garrison in the game.  So fun to see him learning the sport and getting better with each game!!

8.  Chad mowed the yard on Sunday morning and when he was done, Garrison found a Frisbee and wanted to learn how to throw it.  In the first 30 minutes he quickly learned to throw and catch with alligator arms.  So fun to watch the boys play!

9.  Garrison went to a birthday party for his friends Harlow & Zoey.  He was the only boy (other than a brother of one of the girls) in attendance but he owned it and had a great time!!  Garrison has been at school with these girls since they were all 12 weeks old so they are almost like sisters! :)

10.  We installed landscaping lighting this weekend and it is gorgeous!  I've wanted it for a couple of years but we finally got around to picking lights out and getting them in the ground - woo hoo!!!
