1. Thursday was a big day for Peyton (and the rest of her Daisy troop) - she became a Girl Scout Brownie!! Brownies are helpful around the house and kind to all. Since her bridging ceremony on Thursday she has wanted to be extra helpful to make sure she demonstrates the values of a Brownie. Peyton was also awarded her three badges and two other prizes for her hard work with her cookie sales this year. So very proud of her accomplishment!!
2. On Friday, Peyton packed her entire lunch by herself, including making herself a PB&J!
3. On Friday, Daddy had a work event in the evening so the kids & I were on our own. We had dinner at Olive Garden and then wrapped-up our week with ice cream from Twisters! Yummy!! A year ago I probably wouldn't have braved a sit down restaurant by myself with the kids but they are so well behaved and such good eaters these days it is no big deal!!
4. On Saturday, Garrison had a big day with a soccer match and t-ball practice. Garrison got a medal for his work on his soccer team this year at the game and he was very proud (as were we!)!! His play has come a long way this season and he is getting better at not just following the ball but anticipating where the play is headed and jumping in to make a play. It is so fun to watch him grow!
5. Saturday night, the kids went to Hailey & Ethan's for a sleepover while Chad & I went to a friend's 40th birthday party at Top Golf! I'm not sure which group had the most fun but we were all tired the next morning!
6. Sunday started slow since we were all a little tired but Mommy let the kids get a bit messy before lunch by making homemade slime! It was tons of fun (and gooey!!!!)!
7. Later on Sunday, Peyton's Girl Scout troop earned the opportunity to attend a Mad Science presentation - this guy was awesome and showed them all kinds of things about pressure and air properties.
8. Chad played golf on Sunday afternoon and although he didn't have his best round, he won his flight for the tournament! The kids are always super excited when Daddy brings home a trophy! :)
9. On Sunday afternoon, unfortunately, I had to go into work. Since Chad was playing golf the kids went with me! Although I didn't want to be at work, they thought it was great fun to meet so many of my coworkers (with more than 4 nationalities represented) and to get to watch their iPads at high tables at Mommy's office! Ah, the little things!!
