Weekly Happenings - 5/2 - 5/8

1.  On Wednesday, Chad & I had the chance to take-in a Royals day game from the Crown Club seats.  Needless to say, the experience was amazing from the gourmet brunch buffet to the in-seat drink and food service, the view, comfy seats and amazing parking.  The game left a little to be desired :( but we were thankful to spend the afternoon at at the K with a couple of friends - Tim & Jeff.  Hopefully we can get the seats again someday!

2.  On Friday, Garrison treated me to breakfast at his "Muffins with Mom" event at school.  He was a gentleman, wearing his "tuxedo" shirt, opening doors for me and even pulling over  teacher chair so I didn't have to sit on one of the small kiddo chairs.  I was one lucky Momma!!

3.  After school and work on Friday, the kids & I drove down to visit Grammy (and Grandpa) for Mother's Day!  We had a great visit that night and Saturday morning and we were excited that Grammy got to go outside a little bit to enjoy the fresh air!  I think the kids were just what she needed during her recovery time!  Peyton was quite the little physical therapist, encouraging Grammy with all of her exercises and I treated Grammy to a pedicure since she couldn't reach her toes before we had a picnic lunch and had to head home.

4.  The kids treated me like a Queen on Mother's Day - I was spoiled rotten!  The celebrating began on Saturday night the Garrison brought me flowers and chocolates (his choice on what he wanted to get for me to celebrate) and Peyton had been shopping and picked out some new workout clothes for me!  Best of all, the kids both brought me homemade cards and gifts that I will always cherish!!  On Sunday morning, the kids asked me to make sure and stay in bed as they had big plans!!  Shortly after I woke up, breakfast arrived in my room delivered by two good looking kiddos!  A big thanks to Daddy for helping them in the kitchen!  After breakfast, I got to go for a walk with Peyton to wrap-up the morning and finished out the day with a massage in the afternoon!

5.  On Sunday, Chad took the kids to Lexington to wish Grandma Todd & Nana a Happy Mother's Day and enjoy lunch with the family.  The kids had lots of fun playing with their cousins on such a beautiful day (well, before the storm rolled in!).  Grandma & Grandpa's new tree swing seemed to be the biggest hit!

Amanda was right - a visit from her and the kids was the best medicine I had had yet!!! Peyton loved helping me do my rehab exercises - a physical therapist in the making? We are blessed.
