1. Wednesday we enjoyed one of our favorite holiday traditions - going on a "sleigh" ride through the neighborhoods around us with hot chocolate and cookies in our hands with our awesome neighbors - fun!!
2. Friday was PARTY DAY at both of the kids' schools! First up was Peyton's party where they played a penguin waddle game and decorated marshmallow snowmen. Peyton then went and spent the afternoon with a friend since school was out and then we went to Garrison's party. Garrison's party was super fun and started with a visit from Santa (Garrison even talked to him with a little help from Sissy!) and ended with story time and snacks. So glad I was able to join the parties and see their excitement!!!
3. Later on Friday night, we went down to Grammy & Grandpa's house for what we called "Thanksmas." The St. Louis Mintuns made one trip back this year to celebrate both Thanksgiving and Christmas on Saturday and it was a great get together! Luckily, Santa knew we were celebrating Christmas early with our extended family and left a few stocking goodies at Grammy & Grandpa's! Saturday morning was a busy day getting ready for our celebration at lunch time and we got to open just a couple of presents early! Our lunch was super tasty and we enjoyed catch-up with everyone! Then after a short rest for some of us we played a new game Grammy found and it was fun! We had to roll a dice and if we "won", we got to unwrap a layer a saran wrap ball for a prize! Peyton was the big winner! After a few snacks for dinner, Chad & I left to head home while the kids stayed for an extended visit with Grammy & Grandpa! They had a great couple of days going to church, going to see the Alvin & the Chipmunks movie, playing lots of games and making a rice krispy wreath. While the kids were away, Chad & I got to finally (as in 2.5 days after the release) go see Star Wars episode VII - Chad was very excited to see the movie he has anticipated for months now!!

Thanksmas was fun - it was nice to have everyone here, but we were missing Tom and Lenny. Of course, it was a bit sad without Grandma Mintun, but we have our memories and our autographed tablecloth with both Grandpa's and her signatures on it for several years. Mary does a great job doing the embroidery work on it every year.
We enjoyed having the little people stay for a couple of extra days - they went by too fast! We had lots of fun!
The kids' parties look like fun. Glad Mommy got to go - the kids love it when she is there.
