1. This week got us into full swing for our Advent calendar of family activities. Here are Peyton & Garrison with their letters to Santa. They chose to have their elves deliver the letters to Santa this year and they were super excited to tell Santa all about what they wanted for Christmas. Peyton asked for an iPad and a lab set. Garrison asked for a remote control car (which he later changed to a skateboard) and Miles from Tomorrowland figures. Hopefully they keep behaving well so they get what is on their wish list!
2. Garrison had his second play at daycare through Shining Stars - this play was The Three Little Pigs and Garrison was the flower patch. Last time he barely said a word and was super quiet even when he did speak. This time, he spoke loudly and was super goofy but had a great time!!!
3. On Saturday, Peyton & Garrison made their first trip to see Santa this year. Peyton was pumped, Garrison was less than thrilled but finally agreed to stand on the other side of Peyton for a picture!
4. Later on Saturday, Peyton asked her friend Victoria to go to Cookies with the Sugar Plum Fairy, an event at her dance studio! They LOVED it - cookies, dancing, coloring and all kinds of fun with many of the characters from The Nutcracker! These two don't see each other often but they are two peas in a pod when they are together!
5. Cowboy Garrison joined us for dinner on Saturday night at Ted's - he wore the hat throughout all of dinner, hilarious!!!
6. We built Gingerbread Houses for our activity on Sunday and everyone got in on the fun!
7. The weather on Sunday was gorgeous so we took advantage and all worked on the yard, picking up leaves, etc. Peyton & Garrison thought it was great fun to help and we were glad to have their help!!
8. To wrap-up our week, we went to The Nutcracker at the Kauffman Center and it was fabulous! This year, Grammy, Aunt April, Whitney and a friend joined Peyton & I for the performance. Plus, this year they had new sets and costumes - it was a great performance and everyone had a great time!!
9. The kids had their pictures taken a few weeks ago at Garrison's daycare and they turned out amazingly well! Check out these cuties!!!

Great family Advent/Christmas activities - making memories.
I sure enjoyed being part of making the memory at The Nutcraker and a meal beforehand at Olive Garden - the sets and costumes were lovely, but it was the most fun watching Peyton, Whitney and her friend enjoy it!
We are blessed.
