Weekly Happenings - 4/28 - 5/4

1.  A boy who loves pockets, nothing more to say...

2.  On Friday, Daddy had PRK (Lasik like) surgery on his right eye to help improve his eyesight - we are hoping this time will be the lucky one and will help get his right eye fully corrected.  Fingers crossed!  Since Daddy was resting, we ordered-in pizza for dinner and enjoyed it outside since the weather was beautiful!  It was a quiet but nice evening!

3.  On Saturday, Grammy came up for a visit.  We heard on Thursday that the Disney store was to get a shipment of Frozen merchandise in so we went to the mall.  It was a bit nuts but organized craziness!  Peyton wanted the Elsa toddler doll and Garrison wanted Olaf.  I was able to get both!  Then, it was time to register for the right to buy the Elsa costume.  They had 18 in Peyton's size.  But unfortunately, we didn't get one. :(  Peyton was disappointed but handled it very, very well.  The kids had a great time playing at the mall & riding the carousel with Grammy while I stood in line.  We then had a tasty lunch at Olive Garden and ice cream!  What a morning!!

4.  After Garrison's nap, we were playing outside.  And what did we hear?  THE ICE CREAM TRUCK!!  The kids were super pumped.  They got bomb pops and couldn't have been happier.  Of course, they both ate maybe 1/4 of their treats but it is all about the experience!

5.  Shortly after ice cream, Grandma & Grandpa came up for a visit.  We played outside for a bit, Daddy took Grandpa to shop for new golf clubs, Grandma & Peyton played play dough and Mancala and Garrison & I went to his birthday party (more to come on that...).  We wrapped-up our visit with dinner at Salty Iguana to celebrate Mother's Day with Grandma!  All-in-all, a busy but fun visit!

6.  Saturday was a first for Garrison!  His first "friend" birthday party and it was at My Gym.  He was in his element and had a great time playing the organized games and was wild during the open play time!  And of course, he loved the cake!

7.  On Sunday, we were up early so took advantage by starting our day at Deanna Rose!  We spent the morning at the farm and had a great time.  We were super excited several of our friends were able to meet us there!

8.  Another first this week - Peyton started piano lessons!  I am so excited for her to starting learning this life long skill!  And she's excited too - so cool!!

Garrison is always a hoot with his hands in his pockets. A real man!!

We had a great time at the mall. Peyton said the carousel turning sear we rode was like the teacups at Disney World. She was right. I had to ask her to slow down so I didn't get sick!

I see that Missy Peyton was wearing her new Princess Crocs that she needed like a hole in the head, but she asked so sweetly. She really liked them! Glad she is wearing them! Wish we could have been able to get a Elsa dress. Peyton handled her disappointment very well. I was proud of her.

G looks so cute with icing on his face. Glad he had a good time.

Deanna Rose with friends - a fun time.

Great family memories

I forgot the most important part Geez.

One happy Grammy here that Peyton is taking piano lessons. Can't wait until she can play with her Mommy and me.
