Weekly Happenings - 3/12 - 3/18

1. Sibling love - it doesn't get much better than this! Last week was Spirit week at school and one day was "hat day" - the kids were all decked out and I managed to capture this priceless picture! :)

2. Here are a few of my favorite Garrison pics from school from February. He already looks so much bigger than the couple of pictures from earlier in the month! Check-out the spiked hair!!

3. Happy St. Patrick's Day! The kids wore their St. Paddy's Day shirts to school on Friday to celebrate. Then on Saturday morning a little leprechaun left Peyton a big glass of GREEN milk to have with her Lucky Charms - quite a festive breakfast. :) After breakfast Peyton even did a little art to celebrate the holiday by making a Fruit Loop rainbow! Thank you Pintrest for the fun ideas.

4. Then, just before lunch time, the kids & I packed-up the car to head to the zoo to meet Grammy & Grandpa for the day (Daddy stayed home to get some projects done around the house). Man did we have a great time! We rode the train, tram and carousel (Garrison's first trip on the tram & carousel!), saw lots of animals, played on the playground, had lunch and even an ice cream treat at the end. Grammy & Grandpa were impressed by how much the zoo had changed since taking me there when I was a kid and Peyton loved showing them some of her favorites at the zoo, especially the elephants, giraffes, zebras & the polar bear! It was a gorgeous day to be outside and we were so glad Grammy & Grandpa wanted to meet us for the day! Here are just a few of my favorite pictures!

5. Then on Sunday we headed to church and had our special treat of donuts afterwards since Peyton did a good job listening during church. Peyton even got a special treat of "coffee" (aka hot chocolate) from Starbucks. We played outside with friends and then had some lunch before heading out for our next adventure - Science City! We were super excited to meet Aunt April, Wyatt & Whitney down at Union Station to check-out Science City for the first time. The kids loved running around seeing all of the exhibits - they dug for dinosaur bones, learned about leverage, toured some train cars, learned about electricity and even sat in a storm tracking center (among many other things)! We worked up an appetite so we enjoyed lunch in Union Station and finished our visit off with special treats from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. What a fun day!!

All the pictures are great and capture what a wonderful family life you guys have, but that first one with Garrison and Peyton looking at each other and smiling with their hats on is so precious.
We had an awesome time at the zoo - Peyton is so much fun to be with and to watch the world happening through her eyes. Baby Garrison is such a good baby - he didn't cry once! He just takes it all in, participates when he can, and watches his big sister do everything. We love them both so very much and had a great time at the zoo. Peyton said at the end, "Grammy, why you not riding with us?" Then, "I don't want to go home". Ahhhhhh - fun days are hard when they come to an end.
Looks like Science City was a blast too. You guys are such great parents to do fun things with your children! Love Garrison's spikey hair - too funny. Peyton was quite impressed that she was wearing shorts. The first thing she said to me was, "Grammy - I've got on shorts!" Priceless memories.
