Happy Father's Day

Time to play a little bit of catch-up on the ol' blog!! Father's Day was a few weeks ago and we had a great time celebrating with lots of family time!!

I managed to go the weekend without getting a very good picture of Peyton & her Daddy, the reason for our family to celebrate Father's Day, but this was a great one of them playing Memory together a few days ago -



Our weekend started, as it has the last few weeks, with Peyton & Daddy going to soccer practice. After soccer practice, Peyton & I headed down to Clinton to celebrate with Grandpa Arthur and the rest of the family. Since Grandpa had to work on Saturday morning, Peyton & I played with Grammy & Grandma Mintun - lots of bubbles, slide time and enjoying some homemade yogurt pops - yummy!! Peyton wasn't too hip on the concept of a nap so we all decided to watch a movie instead - she fell asleep sitting up about 5 minutes into the movie, it was super cute!! After nap time came a quick dip in the pool - Peyton loves to play in the water in just about any way she can! Uncle Mark, Joe & Tom then joined in the fun for dinner - we had a great time! Unfortunately, I had failure number 2 in that I didn't get a picture with Peyton & Grandpa Arthur together either, but here are a few fun ones from the day -







Sunday morning, Peyton & I got up bright and early and baked Daddy one of his favorites - Cherry Coffee Cake! Peyton was very excited to be baking a cake for Daddy and was a big help! After breakfast and some fun play time with Daddy, we packed-up the car to celebrate with Grandpa Todd, Grandpa Sanders and the rest of the Todd/Sanders family.



When we arrived, Grandpa Todd had started making the homemade ice cream - yum! Of course, Peyton needed to help. I did manage to get a picture with Grandpa Todd though neither one of them were paying a bit of attention! After a tasty lunch, Peyton had a great time playing with Wyatt & Whitney outside with chalk, running through the sprinkler and just in general running around - Peyton loves trying to keep up with the big kids! Luckily, Whitney wore Peyton out so she slept the entire way home!
