A lot has been going on since my last post - always busy around the Todd household! :) Peyton is still doing great and growing-up so fast. She has pretty much decided she is done with the bottle so now drinks her milk only from a sippy. She is becoming quite a pro at using her sippy and can hold it and drink completely on her own, even when she is just sitting on the floor - her balance amazes me sometimes!!! Here are a couple of new pics to show how big she is getting. First is one of her in the swing (which has now been taken down). Can you believe she once was so small in the swing we wondered if it was going to swallow her??

Here's Peyton's 6-month picture with Pooh (a couple of weeks late - oops). And no, we haven't bought a smaller Pooh, Peyton is really just getting that big!!

The beginning of the week was pretty quiet and on Thursday I celebrated my birthday. Grammy enjoyed some time with Peyton while Chad & I went to dinner at Bravo for my birthday - yummy!!! We also went by Olathe Ford to look at some potential new cars. No decisions yet but our Escape is 7 years old so probably not too far from needing replaced. We had a great evening out - thanks for coming up Grammy! :)
Friday we took a family trip to the grocery store and Apollo even got to join us on the walk to the store. It was a beautiful evening!! Saturday morning Peyton, Apollo & I went on a walk/jog early and then hung around the house with Daddy the rest of the morning. After Daddy got several things done around the house we all headed to the neighborhood pool for the annual pool party. Peyton LOVED watching everything that was going on but wasn't too hip on the pool (or the loud speakers next to the pool). Regardless, we had a great time!

Then this morning we relaxed a bit and after the sun came out this afternoon we ran a couple of errands and then headed to Deanna Rose Farm in Overland Park. What a wonderful place!! We have always heard a lot about it but never had a reason to go before now. Peyton had a ball (and so did Mommy & Daddy)!! We saw goats of all ages, pigs, cows, chickens, bobcats, a bald eagle, flower gardens and many many more things at the farm. We were there for close to two hours. We laid Peyton back in the stroller at one point because she looked like she was getting tired but she was having too much fun! She instead passed-out as soon as we got in the car! :) And best of all, the farm is free to visit. What a cool place to spend an afternoon!! There are lots of playgrounds, places to feed the animals, horse rides, etc. that Peyton will be able to enjoy in the years to come.
Here's Peyton & Daddy getting close to a baby goat.

And here's Mommy & Peyton hanging out at the main "barn" having some puffs and milk as a snack during our visit

What a great post! You guys have been busy. All the pictures are wonderful. Peyton looks like she had a lot of fun at all the events - the farm sounds like a fabulous outing for young families. I'll bet you will go there many times over the next few years. Peyton is quite the bathing beauty in her swimsuit with her Daddy. Pooh must be shrinking - such a creative way to chronicle her growth.
Peyton and I had a blast during my visit last week - she is so much fun - it is unbelievable she is almost 7 months old! How time flies when you are having fun - and we ARE all having fun!
It was my pleasure to stay with Peyton for the parents' date and to help out a little around the house - I know, I'm weird, but I do like to clean, etc., but mostly I like helping out MY little girl when I get a chance. Can't wait for the next opportunity to see you guys.
Peyton is such a joy and makes this Grammy VERY, VERY happy. Grandpa and I love her sooooo much. Watching you guys with Peyton warms our hearts - you are such good parents, and the look in Peyton's eyes when she sees you is unconditional love.
One more thing - the swing picture - precious little Peyton is quite good at putting that left leg/foot up on things - just like she did on her stroller at the Lake. Too cute!
