1. For the first time since we moved to our house, we were actually at home on the 4th of July so we had the chance to join in the fun of our neighborhood kids parade! It rained on the 4th which was kind of a bummer but the parade carried on! The kids had so much fun walking in the parade and loved having popsicles at the pool at the parade's end. Even though it was still raining, we then got swimsuits on and spent the next couple of hours enjoying the pool, pizza and friends! Pretty good 4th of July if you ask me!
2. Garrison asked Daddy if he would help him build part of his U Wing lego set. This is how Garrison helped....
3. After dance on Wednesday, Peyton sat down to work on her piano. This isn't the highest quality picture but I love seeing her in her ballet leopard / tights at the piano. She is sitting up so straight, concentrating and doing one of the things she loves - so grown up!
4. On Friday night, I surprised Peyton with a trip to the suite at the One Republic concert! She didn't know a ton of their songs but they put on an AMAZING show! It was best that I got to spend the evening with just my girl! She talked the entire way home even though it was well past 11 PM!
5. Saturday brought another baseball game and Garrison was excited to have Grammy & Grandpa, Peyton & I in the stands to cheer him on (and Daddy as Coach, too!). It was a hot one but a great game. The boys also do a great job of congratulating the other team at the end of the game, teaching the importance of good sportsmanship at a young age!
6. After Garrison's game, my friend from college, Tara, and her family came to visit! Tara's daughter Leah is about 4 months older than Peyton so of course they hit it off right away! We started with a trip to the pool, enjoyed dinner out (even eating outside), had s'mores and visited until well after the sun went down. It was great to have the Calton's here, even if it was for less than 24 hours! Only a few more months until we get to cruise together!!
7. Not much to say about this one. I mean, everyone has light saber battles on Sunday afternoons, right??
