1. This week was a busy one with Peyton starting off heading to Girl Scout day camp. She not only loved spending time with her troop through all of the activities but also seeing some of her other friends she's made at other schools at camp, too! She climbed a wall, went on a hike, made lots of crafts, played games, made s'mores and had a fantastic 3 days of camp! We were supposed to camp on the last day but due to some bad weather, camping had to be cancelled until next year.
2. On Tuesday night, Peyton was doing cartwheels through the house. Unfortunately, when she was coming up from her last one she got a little too close to the desk and banged up her ear. It wasn't a super deep cut but it was enough we thought we should have it checked out. So glad we did as Peyton needed 4 stitches! She was a little (ok, a lot) nervous but was a trooper through it all and did a great job of taking care of what needed to be done!
3. While Peyton was at Girl Scout Camp, Garrison took a trip to Grandma & Grandpa Todd's! Garrison kept busy while there by going on a tour of town learning about the Civil War battle that took place in Lexington and was excited to see Wyatt each morning before he was off to help Grandpa on his building projects. Garrison's favorite was seeing the cannon and learning about how the cannon was used during the war. Garrison also picked strawberries and talked Grandma into making them into jam!
4. On Thursday, Grammy came up to pick both kids up to get ready for Old Glory Days! The kids loved being there early when things were a little less busy. They enjoyed the sponsor dinner, going to the carnival (Peyton even rode the scrambler kind of ride by herself several times!), riding the ponies, going to the FireQuacker 500 (their ducks didn't win :(), playing carnival games and enjoying the parade (Peyton rode in part of the parade with Grandpa!)! Chad & I joined the fun late on Friday and the kids even talked Daddy into riding some of the "fast" rides with them since Mommy gets sick on them! It was so great to have a few days in Clinton where we could kick back and enjoy! I even got to sneak out and play golf twice which rarely happens! The first day we played, Peyton joined the fun while Garrison went to the wiener dog races with Grammy. On Sunday, Garrison hopped into the cart too and lasted about 3 holes but Peyton played 9 and had a great time! All in all it was a fun few days!!!
