Weekly Happenings - 5/22 - 5/29

1.  Peyton had dress rehearsals and pictures for both of her ballet & tap classes on Monday & Tuesday!  She looked beautiful for both rehearsals and she did great!

2.  Peyton & Garrison started their amazing summer on Monday with their nanny, Madison!  Their week was very busy with 2 trips to Deanna Rose (where Garrison won an award for catching the smallest fish on one visit), two trips to the pool, a trip to the movies and several trips to the park!

3.  On Friday evening, our friends from Iowa arrived and stayed the night on their way to their family campout for the weekend.  We were excited to have the Mayberrys with us, even if only for one night!  The kids got to enjoy s'mores and play time while the adults enjoyed a few adult beverages before calling it a night!

4.  On Saturday morning we packed up the car and drove downtown for our weekend of fun!  We started with lunch at Fritz's and we shopped a bit at Crown Center before heading over to Union Station where we went to Science City!  The kids LOVED Science City, especially the wind tunnel where they got to feel what it was like in a tornado with 75+ MPH winds!  Peyton powered a light bulb by riding a bike, Garrison dug for dinosaur bones, they rode a zip-line and a potato chip climbing structure to name a few!  We were all pretty exhausted so we got a few sweet snacks and relaxed for a bit before heading back to Crown Center then off to Jack Stack for some yummy BBQ!  Next up was check-in time at the hotel downtown.  We were on the 20th floor which the kids thought was amazing!!!  On Sunday we were up fairly early and took a ride on the street car down to the City Market!  We started with brunch at The Farmhouse which was a bit out of the kids' comfort zone but very yummy and then we walked around the farmer's market for an hour or so before heading back to the hotel.  Peyton then had rehearsal on stage at the Music Hall before we grabbed a late lunch at the Power & Light District and then it was go time!  Peyton did a fantastic job at her recital!  We even made her costume change without any incident and she was ready for her 2nd dance with plenty of time!  We left the recital at intermission, enjoyed a yummy late night dinner in our room and then went up to the 22nd floor to watch the fireworks over Union Station!  It was the end to a great and very busy day!!
