1. On the first day of the New Year, Whitney asked Peyton to help her celebrate her birthday with a trip to the American Girl store, lunch & ice cream! She was VERY excited to get to go shopping with Whitney & Aunt April, without Mom in tow! She even got to use a little of her Christmas money to buy a Bitty Baby - Whitney was excited to pick-up Isabelle, the 2014 Girl of the Year! A fun time was had by all!!
2. On Saturday, we got out all of our maps of Disneyworld and talked with the kids about all the fun things we could do while there. Their favorite part? Putting the stickers Disney sent us on their favorite spots - definitely will have to hit those spots!
3. On Saturday night, it snowed...not a lot but man it turned cold! As in, it will be -30 windchill tomorrow morning. We had a great day around the house - playing with balloons, playing boardgames, riding bikes & motorcycles in the basement and making snow ice cream. We even started a fire in the fireplace - it was great to warm-up by the fire and make s'mores for snack - a good fire in the fireplace can't be beat if you ask me! Peyton asked a few times if the firemen were going to come since we started a fire. We assured her our fire would be under control so we wouldn't need the firemen!
4. Garrison was less than happy when waking up from nap today and had a bit of a rough evening until about dinner time. However, on the way to bed, he turned around to run back into the kitchen and yelled, "goodnight Apollo, sleep tight." Completely unprompted. He redeemed himself from his crankiness, for sure! Adorable!!
