Weekly Happenings - 4/9 - 4/15

1. Since I started off last week's post with a comparison I thought I would throw one more out there. Friday was the Royals Home Opener so to celebrate, Garrison donned the same Royals shirt his big sis Peyton wore during her first Royals season. Granted, Peyton was about 6.5 months in the picture below and Garrison is 8.5 months but I think you can definitely tell they belong together! :)

2. On Saturday I was up bright and early to run my first 5K. For about the last 1.5 months I have been running a couple times a week trying to build-up to the 3.2 miles for the race. Going into Saturday I had never ran the entire way but I made it - I ran an entire 3.2 miles in 35 minutes without stopping. For some this may not be a large accomplishment but it was for me (the girl that couldn't even run a mile in high school!). Of course, having the support of my family and motivation of some of my friends who ran with me made a ton of difference. Here is a pic of the ladies from my mom's group at church who I ran the race with! :)

3. On Sunday we headed to Lexington to celebrate Nana & Papa's 60th wedding anniversary. We all went to church together and had a tasty brunch afterwards. Luckily, I got Grandma Todd to snap a picture of the four of us before church as you can see Peyton was less than interested in pictures after church when we tried to take one with Wyatt & Whitney and Garrison appears very bored by the concept of the picture - check-out that yawn!!

4. Milestone: Garrison has started clapping!! :) Granted, he claps with his fists but he is very deliberately clapping when he is excited about something and quite proud of his new accomplishment - good job, Garrison!

They do look more alike than I ever thought they did! How sweet. Good family picture - Garrison looks quite dapper and Peyton is beautiful, as always - Mom and Dad clean up pretty good too. The cousin picture is hilarious.
More family memories.
