2. On Saturday we had our first official Easter egg hunt with my church mom's group. Peyton was in the 3 & under group still so she got a head start. Peyton loved playing at the park before hunting eggs, finding eggs, checking out what was inside and even agreed to a picture with the Easter Bunny as long as Mommy was in the picture too - hey, I will take that! After our picture Peyton gave the Easter Bunny a high-five and later (after he was gone) asked to give him a hug - maybe we are making some progress here! :) We were lucky that the hunt was at the park close to our subdivision so we walked over to the event with some of our friends. Check-out the last picture below - Peyton asked if she could hold Garrison's hand on our way back, especially when walking across streets to keep him safe. What a sweetheart! :)
3. Later on Saturday, Grandma & Grandpa Todd came up to watch the kids while Daddy & I went to a Wine Tasting class with some friends. While we were gone I hear that everyone got a little nap in and playtime outside followed their rest! Garrison had his first ride in the wagon without being in his car seat - Peyton told me she made sure he didn't fall over :) - Peyton showed Grandma & Grandpa what a good driver she is in her car, they tried-out some new bubbles and played out back!
4. Sunday morning we were outside and playing bright and early. Garrison loves sitting outside watching his big sister ride her bike - doesn't he look adorable in his hat? Peyton is also doing an awesome job with riding her bike - she made 4-5 laps on Sunday before she got "stuck" and needed some help, pretty good for a 3 year old I think! :)
5. Later on Sunday, Grammy & Grandpa came up for a visit while Daddy was playing golf. While Grammy & Grandpa were here we headed to the Great Mall so Peyton could "climb on things" and we could do a little shopping. Shortly after we arrived, however, Peyton asked if we could go get ice cream. Since it was such a hot day we all thought that was a good idea and headed to our favorite ice cream spot - Peachwave! Check-out Peyton's big orange bowl - luckily she didn't fill it up very much, that bowl was huge! After ice cream we all headed home and our neighbors had gotten out their wading pool and sprinkler - on April 1st! Peyton threw on hear suit and was ready to go out and play. Everyone had fun watching the kids run around, jump in the pool and get soaked by the sprinkler. Since all of the neighbor kids have gotten bigger we decided we may need to get a bigger pool this year to play in! :P
6. Daddy has been trying his hand at a little Daddy Daycare here recently! Since I am running in a 5K in a couple of weeks I have been trying to run every couple of days with our neighbor. Her husband is working out of town during the week now so Daddy has volunteered to keep all of the kids while we run - 5 of them in total! I know he has his hands full and am very thankful he is willing to watch all of the kids so I have someone to run with - keeps me much more motivated than when I run by myself! Peyton also thinks it is pretty cool that her friends have gotten to come over and visit in the evening and she loves sharing her snacks!
