Peyton's school is closed the week between Christmas & New Year's and since Chad & I had just taken a week off for Cabo a few weeks ago we didn't have vacation to take off to stay with Peyton so we called in the grandparents! Although they were doing us a huge favor I think they were all very excited to spend some extra time with Peyton! Grandma & Grandpa Todd visited on Monday & Tuesday and Grammy & Grandpa came up to stay on Wednesday & Thursday. I think a fun time was had by all - here are a few pics from the adventures they had!

Then on New Year's Eve Grammy & Grandpa spent the evening with Peyton and her boyfriend Evan so that we could go out to a tasty dinner at Lidia's with Evan's parents Kip & Marla. We had a great time at dinner and even stayed-up to ring-in the New Year (I think we were all shocked we made it to midnight - believe it or not, we made it until 1:30). Kip & Marla got a fun new Wii game - Just Dance - for Christmas so of course we had to try it out - hilarious! Although they look a little stunned in the pic below, Grammy & Grandpa reported that the kiddos had a fun evening!

I would be hard-pressed to write what event during our time in Olathe was the most fun - it was all a blast. Peyton makes everything wonderful - she is such a joy. She and her boyfriend, Evan, are a hoot together. The picture of them is misleading - that is the most calm either of them was all night - we asked them to sit together so we could get their picture, and I think they were so shocked we actually asked them to sit, that they were looking like, "what???" Peyton was a little possessive of her Grammy, always wanting to sit with me too if Evan was sitting with me or being held by me. Made me feel pretty special. We should send Goddard School a thank you note for closing!!!! Can't wait until our next Peyton opportunity - the fabulous memories continue - we love you all so much.
