Weekend at the Lake

Last weekend Chad was invited to play in a golf tournament with my Dad and some of his golfing buddies so we headed down to the lake for the event. The tournament ended-up getting delayed by the big storm that rolled through early in the morning but they eventually got to play and had a great time! Too bad they shot a score that was stroke too good to actually win something, bummer! :P While the guys played golf Grammy, Peyton & I headed over to the outlet mall. Of course we had to help the lake economy a little while we were in town. ;) After a little shopping, a tasty lunch at Lil' Rizzos and a nap on the way home, Peyton was ready for the boat races. Great Uncle Mark and Aunt Mary's condo has a great place across the street to view the boat races up on a cliff so we headed over to watch a few of the time trials. Peyton really didn't seem to be phased by any of the load boats or the helicopters flying around. We didn't see it but supposedly there was a boat there that could go up to 185 mph - wow, that's FAST!

Early on Sunday morning, Chad & my Dad headed to play another round of golf and when Peyton was ready for her nap, the girls headed to GG and Great Grandpa's house for a tasty fried chicken lunch. Peyton even got to take a quick stroll in the stroller with GG before lunch. After lunch, Mommy decided that she needed a nap so Grammy rocked Peyton to sleep while Mommy got some much needed rest. By the time Daddy & Grandpa got to Clinton after their round of golf, tired little Peyton was ready to snooze all the way home to Olathe! We had a great weekend, what fun! Here are a few pics from the weekend.

It was a fabulous weekend - of course, any time spent with family is pretty special to me. Rocking Peyton was heavenly - having her snuggle against me and be "all mine" for the moment is priceless. She is amazing!
