“All Done” and More!

Peyton is doing great and learning so much these days! Over the weekend she mastered her “All Done” baby sign to tell us when she is done with her snacks and meals – cute! Now, she sometimes doesn’t want to be constrained long enough to eat so she will say All Done as we are putting her in the chair! Of course we don’t listen at the beginning of the meal but as long as she has eaten well as soon as she tells us she is done we get her cleaned-up and let her down from her chair. It is so great that she is starting to communicate a little more with us. Peyton is also starting to point at things that she sees and wants and can even find her own snacks! I was cooking dinner on Monday night and had left the pantry open. Next thing I know Peyton has gotten her yogurt melts out of the cabinet and tried to carry them over to me while crawling to tell me she wanted some! Of course after all that effort I gave her a few as an “appetizer” for dinner. What can I say, the girl knows what she wants!!!

The last couple of nights Peyton has been getting up in the night which is really odd for her but I think at least a partial culprit is her teeth. On Saturday I noticed that tooth #3 had popped through on top and tooth #4 may not be too far behind. Poor thing – I really wish there was more we could do to help her with her teeth, I’m sure it is NO fun!
