Easter, Tripod, Cereal & More

Everyone settle in, this could be a long post!!

So I haven't been very good about updating the blog recently so I'll try to catch-up with everything that has been going on. Peyton continues to do GREAT with eating her cereal and now likes to have 2 heaping tablespoons of cereal every night. Usually she nurses when we first get home, has some cereal, plays a little bit and then it is time for our nightime routine which includes nursing again! :) Needless to say, she's a great little eater. She is also still doing really well with eating at daycare which is a relief after a rough bout of eating at school for a few days a few weeks ago.

Peyton is also starting to get the hang of sitting. She doesn't sit fully erect for more than a few seconds yet but can hang out in her "tripod" position for quite a while. Here's a cute pic I caught of her sitting and playing with her toys...

Peyton's school was closed on Good Friday so Grandma & Grandpa Todd came up to watch her for the day. Peyton had a great time and I think kept them very entertained and busy all day! She even ate 8 1/2 ounces not long after lunchtime - she's never eaten that much before! Guess she was a hungry girl. Needless to say after that large bottle it was a while before she was ready to eat again and waited until Mommy got home to have her next meal.

Then on Saturday we started our Easter celebrations by heading to Clinton. Daddy & Grandpa ha a chance to sneak-out and play around of golf and we had a great Easter meal at Grammy & Grandpa's house. Peyton decided to eat her cereal before everyone sat down at the table so that she could entertain everyone with her talking and playing while we enjoyed our meal. Our first overnight visit went very well with Peyton only waking up twice wondering where she was. She settled down quickly both times and woke-up happy on Sunday morning! On Sunday morning we had breakfast at Great Grandpa & Grandma Minutn's house before heading to church. Everyone at church was excited to see Peyton and after showing off for a little while she settled in for a quick snack with Daddy before snoozing through a good portion of church. Then it was time to head to Lexington for our next celebration. After a quick visit at Grandma & Grandpa Todd's we headed to Nana & Papa's for a delicious Easter lunch. (We ate a LOT this last weekend, can you tell??) Below are a few pictures from the weekend...

Peyton has an awesome first Easter - we enjoyed visiting with everyone and thank you for all of the fun Easter baskets!!

On Sunday she got a little fussy on the way home and didn't want to settle down after having such busy weekend. After Daddy got her calmed down I fed her and while she was burping and smiling up at Daddy all of a sudden she spit-up EVERYTHING she just ate and it went everywhere! All we could do was laugh since as soon as she was done she looked up at both of us and gave us the biggest grin - guess she just had a bubble on her tummy and felt better almost immediately! After that she ate her cereal and wanted to play until bedtime - too funny!!!!

Peyton is now back into her normal routine and slept a lot at daycare yesterday to recover from her busy weekend. We are so very blessed to have a healthy, happy baby and can't imagine life without her!

And thanks to all of those that actually made it through this entire post - hopefully I can keep things a little more updated so I don't get so long winded when I do find the time to post!

What a lucky little girl to have so many people who adore her! Looks like Grandpa Todd and cousin Whitney are doing a good job keeping Peyton happy! The tripod picture is too cute. What a lovely post - very informative. We loved having all of you over the Easter holiday - YOU made it special for us. Thanks for coming.
