August Happenings

Over the last year, I completed the Central Exchange Emerging Leaders program - in August, I graduated from the program with these amazing women!

Garrison, with his excellent Coach (Daddy) finished up their Summer season and started Fall ball where they both learned the art of coach pitch!  Here are just a few of my favorite pics!

Grammy, Peyton & I had a girls night out where we had a yummy dinner at Cheddar's and then went downtown to Dancing with the Stars!

Daddy pulled down some of his old toys from when he was little - Garrison had fun checking them out!

Apollo, oh our sweet Apollo, had to be put to sleep.  Apollo was 13 years old and had been an amazing, faithful, kind, gentle, accepting and loving dog for our family for so many years.  But the night before he had to be put down he had a really rough night - hey may have had a stroke or some other event but he started failing and he wasn't able to function well.  We were so sad to let him go but it was what was best for him.  We miss him terribly but are glad that he is no longer in pain.  Apollo, we hope that you are running around in the fields of heaven!

This month I had a few work trips to Seattle.  Although most days when I was traveling I was in the office until late each night, there was one day that we were able to go down to the Fish Market!  I hope to make it back to Seattle someday to be able to explore a lot more as there is so much more to this great city that I would love to see!

Peyton had a back to school sleepover with her friends!  They had such a fun time going to the pool, having pizza, watching a movie and of course giggling for hours on end!

(Almost) back to school brought a need to reorganize the mud room / landing space.  Granted it doesn't always look this nice but this was a project that was much needed and turned out great!

Our summer project was installing a pathway from the driveway out to the back yard.  Chad did a fantastic job with this project!  Here are a few pictures of the in progress and almost final product!  Didn't he do a great job??

First day of 3rd grade and Kindergarten!  I'm really not sure when these kiddos grew up so much but wow they looked great for their 1st day and they totally rocked it!  So proud of these two amazing kiddos!

Garrison played on two soccer teams starting this month - his rec league with his friends and a pre-competitive training league.  He is learning so much and having a ton of fun along the way!

Our neighborhood block party is always a ton of fun!  The kiddos are here watching the movie after swimming and going down the big water slide lots of times!

A big event happened this month - a near total eclipse!  In our area, the eclipse was 99%+ and the kids got to watch the eclipse at school  Garrison is in the green Pokemon shirt in the first pic with his classmates!

Chad & I went to Moonshine on the Farm with several friends again this year - such a fun night out, raising money for a great cause!

Peyton started something new - Volleyball!!  Peyton hasn't played a team sport since she tried soccer (at age 3) so it was fun for her to give this a try!  Here she is with Claire & Hailey at practice - they are having a ton of fun learning their new sport!
