1. We have been continuing with our daily family Advent activities and it was a busy week! We enjoyed hot chocolate as a snack (in Mommy & Daddy mugs while sitting on the counter none the less!), popcorn in the car while looking at Christmas lights, an indoor picnic dinner and doing artwork. I love all of the activities we do and how much the kids are really starting to get into it and can't wait to find out each day's activity first thing in the morning!
2. Tinkerbelle & Cookie are still with us and bringing lots of fun to our holiday season. They even built a house out of toothpicks and marshmallows one morning!
3. On Friday, our activity was a fun day with Mommy & Grammy for Peyton. We planned to go to Crown Center but the ice in the morning had different ideas! Instead, we enjoyed a quiet morning at home watching cartoons and playing. Then, we went to lunch at Olive Garden (always a favorite!) and then on to the mall for some shopping and a visit with SANTA!!! Peyton also got a new unicorn, "Princess," at Build a Bear. She sat on Santa's lap and talked to him and took a great picture. We wrapped-up our trip to the mall with gelato - can't be beat!
4. Since the weather wasn't great on Friday morning and was predicted to be nasty on Saturday, Grammy decided to stay the night so she could make sure to make it to Peyton's gymnastics meet. The weather turned out to be ok but we were still glad to have a visitor! Daddy & I got to sneak in an unexpected date and even got to sleep in a little. We had a quiet morning around the house - Peyton even painted Grammy's nails, complete with a full manicure! ;) After running a few errands, we enjoyed lunch at Blue Moose before heading back for rest time.
5. Also on Saturday, Peyton had her gymnastics meet! She was thrilled to have quite a cheering section - Mommy, Daddy, Garrison, Grammy & Grandpa Arthur and Grandma & Grandpa Todd! She completed her routines on the balance beam, floor, vault & bar. She did an awesome job, had lots of smiles and did great "ta das" this year! She was also thrilled with her certificate and trophy!!

What an exciting week! Your Advent activities is such a great family tradition - memories you will treasure always.
I'm so happy a day with Grammy was one of the activities! Although we didn't get to do what we had planned to do (Crown Center), just being together was the main goal, so that was accomplished by time at home and a day at the Mall! I think Peyton enjoyed it all and was so excited to sit with Santa. Finally after 5 years, we have a great picture! She is so into unicorns now and didn't hesitate to choose Princess for her Build-a-Bear choice. What a great day. She made me sit on the bench on the carousel - getting to be such a big girl!
I had a great time spending the night and getting some extra time with the kiddos while the parents had a date night - winners all around! They ate such a good dinner, and we had a good time - even with baths!
Saturday was a bonus which I loved. Peyton did quite a good job on my manicure and even had to set the timer for me to let them dry! Just like her! Blue Moose was a fun destination for lunch.
The main event of the weekend - Peyton's gymnastics meet - was wonderful. What great pictures you captured Amanda! Her feet are off the beam and the mid-air one are super! We all loved watching her. She has progressed so much since I last saw her there for one of her practices. Garrison was such a good boy watching Sissy, and she was so patient with him beforehand to show him around.
Precious family memories - priceless!
