The big day finally came, Peyton's First Birthday!! Last Friday was Peyton's first birthday and to start the celebration Mommy & Daddy went to school at snack time with tasty decorated cookies for all of Peyton's friends. Needless to say they were quite a hit! Here are a few pics from our surprise visit.
Daddy and the birthday girl at school -
We started the party with lots of fun appetizers followed by gift opening. Peyton kept herself pretty entertained between sitting in her new Tinkerbell rocking chair, taking rides with her boyfriend Evan in her new red wagon (a big hit!), carrying around her new pajamas and playing with her balloons while Mommy opened all of her gifts! Needless to say she will be dressed very well and has lots of fun new things to play with over the next few months. Then came the fun part, CAKE! Once in her high chair Peyton hardly wanted to wait for us to sing Happy Birthday and blow out her candle - she was ready to dig in! After she was done (and everyone else enjoyed their cake), Apollo helped the birthday girl clean-up her mess! :)
What a fun party!!!!

I'm suprised the shirt didn't get more cake on it than it did! :) Happy Bday!
Happy 1st Birthday Peyton!! Amanda she is adorable!! I know that we have sooo much to catch up on and it is my fault...I am very good a checking your blog and keeping up with you guys, but terrible at taking the time to respond to emails...I promise I am working on it! For starters, I can't believe our kiddos are 1!! This year has flown by! Preston also got a wagon and it is one of his favorite toys :) I love the cakes you made, I also made Preston's cake, it was fun!! What kind of cake was it? Preston is not a big fan of sweets so he did not dig in like Peyton, but he tried a little bit. Well, that is a little catching up...I promise to catch up more later. Take care, give Peyton a hug and kiss and tell Chad hello for us!

Grammy had a wonderful time helping with preparations for the party - playing with Peyton and rocking her for her nap was the best part! Amanda - the cakes you made were beautiful and were made with love. What a fun party -Peyton had such a good time which was the most important part. She is a fortunate little girl to have such great parents. I'm afraid Peyton has inherited her Mommy and her Grammy's sweet tooth - she really dug into that cake! A good time was had by all.
